TIMBER FRAME PRODUCTION DESIGNER

WHS Homes, Inc. is looking for a technical design candidate with the following knowledge and skills to work in our Claremont, NH office:

  • Experience in CAD Programs including ArchiCad – 3D (for architectural drawings) and Cadwork – 3D (for shop and technical drawings).
  • Structural engineering knowledge and capable of reviewing engineering documents, and limited engineering for checking and producing preliminary sizing and structural calculations using Woodsizer or similar program.
  • Ability to communicate with in-house sales personnel, in-field sales representative network and shop/production personnel.

Production Designer Responsibilities:

  • Review and produce technical shop drawings for log and timber frame products. (Shop drawings will include CNC information that will be used to produce the log and timber components needed by the production group.)
  • Produce 2D & 3D drawings for use by architects, engineers as well as customers and builders.
  • Project estimating and pricing.

Required Degree - 2yr. arch./eng. or equivalent experience

-Sanding and chiseling timber frame components
-Staining finished timber frames
-Pulling and filling orders.
-Preparing orders for shipping
-Loading and unloading trucks

Candidate requirements:

-should be mechanically inclined
-comfortable operating both hand and power tools
-have carpentry experience
-possess a strong attention to detail
-must be fit enough to lift heavy timber/log parts and be on their feet for the majority of the day. 
-a driver’s license and reliable transportation 
-have a positive attitude

WHS Homes, Inc. is seeking a hardworking and reliable team member to join our Shipping and Receiving department at our manufacturing facility in Claremont, NH. The Shipping and Receiving candidate should have:

  • Mechanical aptitude
  • General carpentry skills
  • Knowledge of construction materials
  • A desire to learn; we are willing to train the right person for this full time position
  • Have a positive attitude
  • Experience in shipping/receiving a plus
  • Ability to:
    • Work safely and accurately with both heavy objects and sharp tools
    • Lift at least 50 lbs
    • Work in varying weather conditions and temperatures
    • Work overtime if required

ARCHITECTURAL CAD DESIGNER

To be considered for the Architectural CAD Designer position, candidate must be able to:

  • Develop architectural drawings for log and/or timber framed products in order to obtain bids, secure permitting and satisfy engineering requirements;
  • Use ArchiCad (architectural drawings) and Cadwork (shop and technical drawings) to design residential and/or commercial buildings;
  • Produce 3-dimensional drawings for use by architects, engineers as well as customers and builders;
  • Possess knowledge of design/engineering and some knowledge of structural design;
  • Work effectively and collaboratively with Sales, Pricing and Manufacturing Departments;
  • Work independently on assigned projects; and
  • Have a positive attitude.

Education
Minimum A.S. Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Design or closely related field.

WHS Homes, Inc. is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Regional Sales Manager to join our team. If you are organized, have exceptional customer service and communications skills, a positive attitude and a professional demeanor you could be the perfect candidate for a WHS Homes, Inc. Regional Sales Manager.

The Regional Sales Manager’s responsibilities include:

  • Following up on, qualifying, and developing leads in order to secure sales
  • Managing client projects from inception through completion including pre-construction planning, design, production, delivery, and construction phases
  • Working effectively with our in-house design, marketing, pricing, and production departments to ensure successful and efficient project execution
  • Pro-actively communicating with customers to set realistic expectations and address problems as they arise
  • Attending territory-specific home shows and other industry and trade events to market and drive sales
  • Thoroughly reviewing CAD drafted plans to ensure accuracy Reviewing project pricing and writing contracts
  • Supporting & managing assigned Independent Representatives in their sales and marketing efforts
  • Training sales support staff

Education
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or demonstrated work experience in a related field.
